Library Loot is a weekly event that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course, check out what other participants are getting from their libraries.
Today I visited my newest library that opened last month. I didn't realize this library was opening up earlier than expected. The last new library took four years to complete. Of course, the proximity is a problem for me. The area that leads to the new library is blocked due to road construction. I dislike having to take the longer route to the new library.
Before, the building was a daycare center. In particular, the back part of the building is very obvious once you enter. It is cozy, but it lacks a study room. The lack of a study room makes it difficult to focus on tasks that need quiet and concentration. The warm atmosphere and being close to home make it a handy choice for quick visits. Despite the challenges, I appreciate the effort to bring a new library to the community.
I picked up some books and manga today. There are some with a Christmas theme and some without.
- His Christmas Pleasure by Cathy Maxwell
- Christmas Cookie Murder by Leslie Meier
- Home for the Holidays: The Forgetful Bride / When Christmas Comes by Debbie Macomber
- A Wedding for Christmas by Lori Wilde
- Ask for Andrea by Noelle W. Ihli
- A Matter of Pedigree by Leslie Meier
- Spy x Family, Vol. 1-4 by Tatsuya Endo
